Course Summary
Remimazolam is a novel, short-acting benzodiazepine ready for use in the procedural setting. Changing practice to include this agent has significant benefits including decreased turn-over time, increased patient safety profile, and potential cost savings over time in the out-patient setting when used by nurses trained in its safe administration. This lecture will compare the history of traditional and available agents, with a focus on current literature demonstrating the benefits of using Remimazolam compared to traditional medication regimens.
