Nurse anesthetists
Courses for nurse anesthetists
The clinical subjects anesthesia providers actually need hours in — sedation pharmacology and airway — are the subjects this catalog was built around. Everything here is online and self-paced, offered as nursing contact hours: no dates to book, exam and certificate included.
Anesthesia-specific credit: coming soon
Until that approval is in place these courses are sold as nursing contact hours — one thing to read before you enroll, because it changes what the hours count as.

What these courses count as
Anesthesia-specific credit is coming soon. Until that approval is in place, these courses are offered as nursing contact hours, and no course on this site is sold as anesthesia-specific credit.
Nursing contact hours, priced as such
You buy these courses from the nursing catalog, where they are listed under RN & LPN, at the nursing price.
Anesthesia credit: coming soon
We are working toward the continuing-education approval for nurse anesthetists. Until it is in place nothing here is sold as anesthesia-specific credit — we would rather say so on the way in than have you find out at renewal.
Approval is stated per course
Where a continuing-education approval applies to an individual course, it is stated on that course’s own page and applies only to that course. Requirements differ by state, license and cycle — confirm what yours accepts before you enroll.
The catalog
Anesthesia-relevant courses
Three courses, 4 contact hours, all online and self-paced. In the catalog they are listed under RN & LPN, because that is the lane they are sold in. Prices are per course; there is no subscription and no membership to join.
Anesthesia, sedation and airway
Airway Management
A recorded airway lecture with one job: get you fluent in the indicators that tell you an airway is going to be difficult, before you are holding it.
Propofol: The Thin White Line
Discuss the mechanism of action of propofol and explain some of the side effects of ketamine — two recorded sessions, two agents.
Remimazolam: Where Being Short and Predictable Is the Goal
Compare remimazolam with the traditional sedatives and hypnotics in the current literature, and define its benefits in out-patient procedural areas.

What we do not offer yet
Anesthesia-specific credit
Not currently held, so not offered. Everything on this page is a nursing contact hour, and it is labeled that way on every card, in the cart and on the certificate.
Live or in-person courses
Nothing in this lane is delivered live or on a scheduled date. If you need live hours for a requirement that will only accept them, this is not the place to buy them.
Questions
Before you add it to the cart
Will these hours count toward my recertification?
They are issued as nursing contact hours. What a certifying body, an employer or a state board accepts differs by program and by cycle, so check what yours accepts before you enroll rather than after.
Where a continuing-education approval applies to an individual course, it is stated on that course’s own page and applies only to that course. We do not make a site-wide claim, because a site-wide claim would not be true of every course.
When does the anesthesia-specific credit option open?
It is coming soon. We are working toward the continuing-education approval for nurse anesthetists; until it is in place, nothing on this site is sold as anesthesia-specific credit.
In the meantime these courses are sold as nursing contact hours, at the nursing price.
How fast can I finish, and how do I get my certificate?
Every course in this lane is online and self-paced: no scheduled dates, no seat to book, start the moment you enroll. They run 1 to 1.5 hours, so you can finish one in a sitting.
You work through the material, pass the end-of-course exam, and download the certificate from your account. Question counts are set per course — Airway Management is 5 randomized questions at 80%; Propofol: The Thin White Line is 10 questions at 80%. The pass mark is the same everywhere, and you may retake the exam as often as you need within your access period. Each course page prints its own format. More in the full FAQ.
