Exams, attempts, certificates, records, refunds and the awkward one — whether a course counts toward the license you are renewing. Where we hold something in writing, we print it. Where we do not, we say that instead.

Credits & acceptance

The question that actually decides the purchase, answered the honest way.

How we handle acceptance

Continuing-education approval belongs to a course, not to a website. So there is no approval banner in our header and none in our footer — the statement that applies to a course is printed on that course’s own page, and where we do not hold written confirmation from a board, that is printed too. It makes for a duller home page and a defensible file if you are ever audited.

Will this course count toward my license renewal?

That depends on your board, your license type and your renewal cycle, and we are not going to answer it for you with a claim. Where a course carries a continuing-education approval, the statement is printed on that course’s own page and applies only to that course. Where we do not hold written confirmation from a board, we print that on the page instead of implying acceptance.

Start on the lane page for the license you renew — RN & LPN, CRNA or hypnotherapy — then read the statement on the course itself before you buy.

Who approves your nursing courses, and where does it say so?

Open any RN and LPN course and the approval statement is in the page, in one block, above the enrollment steps.

We deliberately do not make a site-wide approval claim in the header or the footer: approvals attach to a provider and a course, not to a website, and a banner that follows you onto every page is how a reader ends up assuming a course is covered when it is not.

What is a contact hour, and how do I know how many I am getting?

A contact hour is the unit your board counts. Every CE course publishes its total, so a 1.5-hour course is 1.5 contact hours, and that figure appears in three places before you pay: the course card in the catalog, the header of the course page, and the at-a-glance strip beneath it.

You can filter the catalog by hours if you know exactly how many you are short.

I am in Michigan and need the two pain hours. Does your module cover them?

The module is in preparation and not on sale, and we do not claim that it will cover them. We know of no board that has ruled on whether a course teaching clinical hypnosis techniques for pain and symptom management counts toward Michigan’s two-hour pain and symptom management requirement, and at a CE audit the exposure lands on the licensee, not on us.

Our Michigan page sets out the rule’s own wording and its enumerated topics, and prints our status on that question in plain sight.

Are the hypnotherapy courses continuing education?

Best Practices for Surviving Stress and Hypnosis for Children are not. They are professional development, and we do not offer them for continuing-education credit or attach any approval to them. Hypnosis for Pain Management Certification (4th Edition) is 20 contact hours for nurses, and its course page prints the statement.

We know of no state that requires continuing education for hypnotherapy, so there is nothing for those two courses to satisfy. See the hypnotherapy lane.

I am a nurse anesthetist. What can I actually use here?

The anesthesia-relevant courses are online and offered as nursing contact hours rather than under an anesthesia-specific approval.

The CRNA page lists exactly which courses those are and says plainly what we do not offer yet, and that anesthesia-specific credit is coming soon.

Taking a course

Courses & exams

What you are actually sitting down to do, and what the exam expects of you.

How is a course delivered?

Online and self-paced. There is nothing to schedule, nothing to travel to and no cohort to wait for. You enroll, work through the material in your own time, stop and come back as often as you need, then take the exam when you are ready.

What does the exam look like?

Randomized multiple-choice questions, marked immediately, with 80% or better required to pass. That pass mark is the same on every exam in the catalog. What changes from course to course is the number of questions, printed on the course page before you buy. Attempts are unlimited within your one-year access.

Two real examples of the format range:

Across the catalog, exams run from 5 to 100 questions.

How many attempts do I get?

As many as you need, within your one-year course access. If you do not reach 80%, go back to the material and sit the exam again — a fresh set of randomized questions each time, no fee and no separate purchase.

If something goes wrong mid-exam, tell us what happened and we will help you sort it out.

Do I have to watch video?

Yes. Every course on sale today is built on recorded lectures, and every course page says how much recording sits behind it.

Surgical Positioning, for instance, is a one contact hour course with a 55-minute recorded lecture behind it.

Is there a time limit, or a date I have to finish by?

The course does not run to a schedule and you are not booking a seat on a date. Your own deadline is the one that matters, which is your renewal date, so buy with enough room to actually work through the hours.

Your access lasts one year from purchase. The full terms are on the policies page.

Can I see what is in a course before I buy it?

Yes, and that is the point of the course pages. Each one carries the real learning objectives, the outline, the contact hours, the exam format with its question count and attempts, the video runtime and the price. Nothing is held back until after checkout.

After the course

Certificates & records

Getting the paperwork, keeping it, and what to do when the exam did not go your way.

When do I get my certificate?

After you pass. The exam is marked immediately; complete the short course evaluation and the certificate becomes available to download from your account. There is nothing to request and nothing to wait for in the post.

I have lost a certificate, or I am being audited. Can I get it again?

Your certificates stay in your account on this site, and certificates from the old site stay on the old site. Sign in, open My courses, and download the one you need again — there is nothing to re-buy and nothing to ask us for.

I did not pass. What now?

Sit it again. Attempts are unlimited within your one-year access: sign in, open the course, and take the exam again with a fresh set of randomized questions — no fee, nothing to unlock, nothing extra to buy.

There is no re-test to buy, because another attempt is already yours. If your situation does not fit that, contact us and describe what happened.

Are my license details printed correctly?

Your license type and license number are captured when your account is created during checkout, which is exactly why that step asks for them.

Check them in your account settings before you finish a course rather than after, because that is the record a certificate is issued against.

How long do you keep my records?

Record retention, course access periods and what happens to your data are set out on the policies page. We would rather point you at the written terms than paraphrase them in an FAQ answer.

Paying

Payment & refunds

What you pay for, what is included, and where the written terms live.

How do I pay?

At checkout, in one step, before you get access. Your account is created during the same flow, so the course is waiting for you the moment you finish paying rather than arriving in an email later.

What does the price include?

The material, the exam and the certificate. There is no separate exam fee and no charge to download your certificate afterwards. The price shown on the course page is the price of finishing the course.

Can I get a refund?

Refund terms are set out in full on the policies page. Read them before you buy rather than after.

If your problem is a course that will not open or an exam that failed part-way through, contact us first — that is usually a fix rather than a refund.

When something goes wrong

Technical

When something will not open or will not save.

What do I need to take a course?

A current web browser and a connection steady enough to hold a video. There is nothing to install, no app and no plugin, and a phone or tablet works, though most people find an exam easier on a larger screen.

I bought a course on the old site. Where is it?

Those courses and logins are still on our old site: crna.mycecredit.com for nursing and CRNA courses, hypnosis.mycecredit.com for hypnosis courses. An account on this site will not show them. Not sure which? Try both, or email support@mycecredit.com.

If you do not know your password, use the “Forgotten your username or password?” link on that page. If the reset does not arrive, contact us and tell us which email address you enrolled with.

I cannot sign in.

Start at the sign-in page and use the password reset there — it is the fastest route and it does not need us.

If the reset does not arrive, or the address you used is one you no longer have, contact us and tell us which email address you enrolled with, so we can find the account rather than create a second one.

My progress or my exam did not save.

Do not re-buy the course. Contact us with the course name, roughly when it happened and what you saw on screen, and say whether the exam had been opened.

That last detail is the one that matters most, and it is much easier to sort out before anything else is bought.

Can I print a course or a certificate, and is the site usable with a screen reader?

Course pages, certificates and order summaries are all built to print cleanly, with the navigation and buttons dropped out.

Accessibility is covered on the policies page, and if something on this site blocks you, tell us what it was and what you were using — that is more useful to us than a general report.

Still stuck?

If your question is about a specific course, the course page usually answers it faster than we can. If it is about your account, an exam or a certificate, tell us what happened and what you saw — before you buy anything twice.
